Generators are essential for camping, powering the fridge, AC unit, etc. in your RV and also for tailgating.

The issue with most generators is that they are extremely loud, which isn’t ideal for any of these scenarios since you’re going to be driving the people around you crazy.

Luckily, there are a couple generators that are able to generate a substantial amount of power while still being extremely quiet.

I’m going to be listing them from the lowest power output, to the highest.

2. Honda EU1000i Inverter Generator

This inverter generator is extremely light, weighing only 29 lbs.

It’s a very quiet generator as well, operating between 53dBA and 59dBA which makes it ideal for camping since it won’t bother the people who are close by.

It provides stable power which means that it’s ideal for power sensitive electronics.

The Honda EU1000i offers just over 8hrs runtime with one tank, depending on the load of course.

The ETQ NI2000i 2000-Watt Inverter Generator is definitely more powerful than the previous ones on the list. It’s great for camping, powering fridges, AC’s, etc. in your RV, and for tailgating.

8. Pulsar G2319N 2,300W Portable Gas-Powered Quiet Inverter Generator

This generator is another great choice for camping, tailgating and for powering your RV, and it’s my top choice on this list.

It provides clean and stable power which is great for power sensitive electronic devices.

Should you require more power, this generator is parallel capable, which means that it can be linked to another one generating twice the power.

The Pulsar G2319N 2,300W Inverter Generator is a best-seller on Amazon and for good reason.

The price to performance aspect of this generator just can’t be matched, since it’s quite affordable compared to other similar ones.

If I had to choose one, I’d go with the Pulsar G2319N Generator.

9. Ryobi Bluetooth 2,300-Watt Inverter Generator

The Ryobi Bluetooth is a great generator overall. It’s great for tailgating, camping, powering your RV, power outages, etc.

If you do some research on it you will hardly be able to find any bad reviews, this should tell you how good of a generator this one is.

It allows you to conveniently monitor the power consumption, fuel level, and run time remaining, as well as shutting off your generator remotely with the GENControl app on your Apple or Android smart phone.

This Ryobi generator is also Parallel compatible.

The Ryobi Bluetooth 2,300-Watt Inverter Generator is a fantastic choice if you need a good all-rounder.

It’s still not my first choice because it costs twice as much as the Pulsar generator.

10. Champion Power Equipment 3400W Inverter Generator

This is a much more powerful Inverter generator than any of the others on this list and it is also bigger and heavier.

It is good for camping, if you have an easy way of transporting it, but it’s better suited for powering an RV.

If you should need more power, which you probably won’t since this one is really powerful, it does have parallel compatibility.

The Champion Power Equipment 3400W is not only the most powerful generator on this list, but also the most expensive one. However, it doesn’t cost that much more than the Ryobi Bluetooth but provides you with much more power.

If you are certain that you’re going to need this much power, then you should get the Champion Power Equipment 3400W.

11. Bonus: Jackery Explorer 240

This isn’t your usual generator since it doesn’t use fuel to create energy.

You need to charge it, which can be done by plugging it directly into a wall outlet or via this solar power panel.

This one can only power devices that operate at less than 200-Watt, any more than this and it will automatically shut down.

The reason the Jackery Explorer 240 is on this list is primarily for portability reasons.

It’s super small and light, plus being able to recharge it with a solar panel is actually quite good also since you don’t need to spend money on fuel.

It can’t be used to power a big fridge or an AC unit, but it’s powerful enough to charge smartphones 18 times, laptops 4 times, Gopro 40 times, Drone, Mini Projector, Mini-Refrigerator or other small power appliances.

The Jackery Explorer 240 is a good choice for anyone who doesn’t want to be carrying around a big generator or who doesn’t need to use power-intensive devices.

Conclusion

My top recommendation would be the Pulsar G2319N Generator simply because you won’t get anything better for that price.

If, however, you know that 2000W won’t cut it, then I’d advice you to go with the Champion Power Equipment 3400W.

Otherwise you are going to need to purchase two separate generators and link them together.
